The Sacrifice of Thanksgiving

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. (KJV Ps. 116:17)

When you consider a sacrifice it reminds me of something done out of the way on behalf of the sacrificer. It’s not a sacrifice if it isn’t costing you something. The writer of this Psalm is stating I will sacrifice the sacrifice of thanksgiving when utter chaos is going on around me!

This has been a trying year for America. We have been through a lot. The pandemic has cost thousands of lives. Families have suffered losing loved ones, finances have been depleted due to the economic turmoil, and the stress that has raged upon the minds of people has been almost to much to bear!

As we reflect on what we’ve been through in 2020 I’d love to challenge you to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving! Although it may seem as if nothing has went right, your faith has been put to the test, and your suffering the trials of this life, offer up the sacrifice of thanksgiving! Thank God for sending His only begotten Son into the world as the ultimate sacrifice that makes us Holy, Justified, & Unreprovable in His sight!

Thankfulness in the midst of chaos is an amazing way to demonstrate a heart that realizes the cross of Christ is the greatest gift in this life we could ever have, and no matter what the condition of life looks like our thankfulness to our Father in heaven should always be bubbling up in our souls!

We love you so much here at Agape Generation & may your family have an amazing Thanksgiving as we keep our focus on an amazing Savior!

AG BLESSINGS,

-Bro. Shane-
